Dr. Adam Bruggeman, MD has quickly been building a reputation in San Antonio and surrounding areas as an outstanding spine surgeon. But recently, his talents and skill were recognized on a much larger stage. Becker’s Healthcare, a leading national provider of cutting-edge information for healthcare professionals, annually bestows their prestigious “Spine Surgeon Leadership Award” to leaders in the spine industry. This year, Dr. Bruggeman was one of 22 well-deserving surgeons to win this coveted award. This honor is given based on a nominee’s entrepreneurship, professional leadership, community leadership, and overall role in advancing the field. All of which Adam Bruggeman, MD brings to Texas Spine Center in San Antonio.
Dr. Bruggeman, is a member of the American Orthopaedic Association’s Emerging Leaders. He previously served on AOA’s academic leadership committee. In addition to Texas Spine Center, Dr. Bruggeman provides care at Stone Oak Surgery Center, where he specializes in spine osteoarthritis, spinal fusion, minimally invasive techniques, lumbosacral region, cervical and thoracic vertebrae.
In 2013 and 2014, Dr. Bruggeman received a CMS Meaningful Use Stage 1 Certification. The Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Clinics of North America has featured Dr. Bruggeman’s research.
Dr. Bruggeman obtained his medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. Following medical school, he underwent residency at his University of Florida in Gainesville, and completed his spine surgery fellowship at South Texas Spinal Clinic.
